LCSO dismantles the drug exploitation of its brothers | New

A 31-day covert investigation by narcotics officers from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office ended Tuesday with the arrest of brothers and the seizure of drugs, including crystal meth.

Nickalus, Rogers, 43, and Kelly Rogers, 56, were arrested after attorneys executed a search warrant on their home and property in the 1900 block of Pumping Station Road, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

The Narcotics Division, in conjunction with the State Bureau of Investigation, made four purchases of crystal meth in one month from Nickalus Rogers, the statement said.

During the search of the home, they located nine bags of methamphetamine with a total weight of 13.43 grams, or nearly half an ounce.

The bags, along with 118 doses of Xanax and eight doses of Adderall were found hidden in an air duct in Kelly Rogers’ bedroom, according to Captain Bryan Allen of the Sheriff’s Office.

Xanax is a potentially addictive drug used to treat anxiety and panic disorders, according to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.

Adderall is an addictive drug that is considered a stimulant, according to WebMD. It is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or ADHD.

Nickalus Rogers is charged with four counts of trafficking in methamphetamine by possession, trafficking in methamphetamine by sale, maintaining drug addiction housing, conspiracy to sell and deliver a controlled substance and the misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The bond was set at $ 500,000.

Kelly Rogers is charged with one count of possession of crystal meth with intent to sell and delivery, possession of crystal meth, conspiracy to sell, maintenance of a drug house and tort possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (Adderall, Xanax) with intent to sell and deliver.

The bond was set at $ 40,000.

Further arrests are expected, the statement said.
