On January 17, 2022, Larry Horne, 63, passed away peacefully at UTMC. He was surrounded by his best friend, Mike Fischer; her brother, Tim; and his sister Beth.

Larry has resided his entire life in Toledo, Ohio. He was the son of Elmer and Rita Horne. He was one of 9 children. Larry was the proud parent of his children, Nicholas and Mallory. He regaled everyone with tales of their talents and dreams.

He has also helped at The St Louis Soup Kitchen, The Epilepsy Center and The Ability Center.

Larry is survived by his son, Nicholas; brothers, Mike (Jeanne), Tim (Pam) and Chris (Denise) Horne; and his sister, Beth (Denny) Shoemaker. He also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews; and grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Mallory; parents, Elmer and Rita Horne; brothers, Paul, Jack and Pat Horne; sister, Martie Moline; and his niece, Lauren Shoemaker.

Larry donated his body to UTMC’s anatomy department.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ the King Church on Saturday, February 26 at 10:30 a.m.

Many thanks to everyone who helped Larry with his care. Special thanks to UTMC ER and ICU and Wolf Creek.
