Epilepsy Warriors Foundation mobilizes resources for training nurses in epilepsy management

Epilepsy Warriors Foundation (EWF) has appealed to like-minded organizations and people of good will to help mobilize resources for training nurses in epilepsy management.

In partnership with Pretola Global Health and the Ministry of Health, EWF provided intensive online training for nurses on managing epilepsy.

EWF Executive Director Samuel Chigamba said Weather Nyasa Friday that at least 30 nurses have been trained through this arrangement.

“A general challenge that we anticipated might arise was the cost of the internet. So we have been fundraising since January. Please note that we have two sessions, with your support we have completed the first 4. To complete the next 2 sessions in March we will need 170,000 MK so we are coming back to you asking for your help,” Chigamba said.

“Please note that the next session starts on March 12 while the final session will be on March 26. Thank you in advance for your support and making this training a success,” he added.

Chigamba appealed to non-governmental organizations and supporters to donate any amount through the National Bank of Malawi: 1229052; Mpamba: +265 888 486 566, Airtel Money at +265 999 486 566 and PayPal: [email protected].
