Further expressing his views, he said, while recalling the outstanding work done by doctors amid the pandemic, called on people to keep faith in doctors for epilepsy.
He said the government will ensure that the drugs are provided to patients under all conditions and that all possible help is given to them. An assistance service has also been set up at the epilepsy unit for the dissemination of information on the disease and treatment.
Pawar said epilepsy was a neglected disease in rural areas.
She also said Asha workers should be made aware, as epilepsy was also prevalent among children.
Other dignitaries include Nashik ZP CEO Leena Bansod, Deputy Director of Health Services Dr. Raghunath Bhoye, Civil Surgeon Ashok Thorat, District Health Officer Kapil Aher, Nirmal Surya from the Epilepsy Foundation and others.
